Silence of the moon upon the lapping water,
smoldering embers of fire glowing,
a blanket of stars laid upon velvet dark,
different now that you are worlds away.
Butterflies waiting to be caught,
fish laughing that they will not,
roads never again to be taken, my faith
a bit shaken, now that you are worlds away.
Many mansions in His sky, I'm sure
that one has caught your eye, a multitude
of butterflies, even more the fish, roads
to travel, hills to climb, I imagine
all the rocks you'll find, all worlds away.
Endless time, the moon cries down,
lapping water revealing frown, smoldering
embers turning gray, blanket of stars
fold upon the coming day, I wake
once more to find you worlds away.
