They stare at me from the china plate
Brussel sprouts are what I hate
Green and hairy, squishy and wet
They're about as ugly as they can get
Okra and succotash leave me cold
They taste a little like day old mold
Carrots are crunchy but their color is nice
Lettuce is the choice of garden mice
Celery is stalky and can be tough
Peas are not always snappy enough
Tomatoes are drippy, potatoes have eyes
Onions cause tear drops in your eyes
Give me a steak done medium rare
And I'll join you for dinner anywhere
Leave out the veggies, bring on the wine
And hope my arteries will be just fine
