Poetry: God

by Angelique Reder

Created on: July 15, 2009

A light in the darkness of my soul

Whispering the contented desire only for God to know

In stride, I take it all in

And for love of him, I struggle not to sin

In my spirit, soul, and mind

God exists for all time

My pleas and woes does God hear

I whisper them shamefully into his ear

God guides me along, and enlightens my path

For consequence is my aftermath

The voice that I do not hear spoken into my ear

Speaks to me loudly, and very clear

With hopes and aspirations for my future

And with sad regrets heals my wounds with his loving suture

Unseen hands that coddle my heart

Soothing my fears right from the start

In a micro burst of light

God guides me through the twilight

No fear to face alone

No sin that goes un-atoned

This is the God that I know

And through God's love I will continue to grow
