Particularly during the difficult economic times, finding ways to supplement your income can be very helpful. One form of additional income can be in the form of online surveys. I am on several panels and am regularly invited to surveys that pay cash. I've tried dozens of websites all claiming to reward their survey respondents, but only a few deliver on that promise. Here are a list of my favorite websites:
1. Global Test Market (www.globaltestmarket.com) Global Test Market doesn't reward you directly in cash. Rather, they reward
"Marketpoints" for each survey, which has a direct conversion rate into cash. Each Marketpoint is worth $0.05. Therefore, 1000 of them can be turned in for $50 in cash. You need to have a minimum of 1000 Marketpoints before you cash out. Most surveys are worth 50 Marketpoints ($2.50 USD), but the Marketpoints rewarded for each survey is generally 35-100 ($1.75-$5.00). When you join, it's important to fill out all of the profile surveys so they know which surveys you qualify. Invitations for those that you could qualify are emailed to you. The more surveys you complete, the more they will send you. I find that I get sent four of five surveys per week and qualify for about 75% of them, allowing me to earn around $400 per year (~$35 per month).
2. Opinion Outpost (www.opinionoutpost.com) I find that qualifying for Opinion Outpost surveys is a bit more difficult. They, too, have profile surveys they use to send emails out to panelists that might qualify for the survey. However, it appears that their screening system is not as advanced as other sites. Opinion Outpost pays anywhere from 15 points to 100 points. At Opinion Outpost, each point is worth $0.10. So a survey for 30 points will pay $3.00 in cash. You only need $5.00 in points to be able to cash out, so if you are hurting for cash, you don't have to wait until you have $50 to cash out. Most surveys are from 25-30 points ($2.50-$3.00). There are less surveys sent out than Global Test Market, and it is more difficult to qualify, but when you have the survey invitations sent directly to your email, it doesn't take a lot of time to see if you qualify for various surveys.
3. MyView (www.myview.com) At MyView, you'll also get survey invitations. The rewards for each survey are a bit smaller than the first two sites I've listed. For example, most surveys are for either 1 or 2 MyView dollars. One MyView dollar is equivalent to one US dollar. A lot of MyView's
