Ever wondered why people are so crazy about Europe? There can be a million reasons; one of them would have to be the touristic nature of the continent. Whichever country you visit, it always has a touristy aura to it, with people from all over the world strolling around with their SLR cameras in their hands, hoping to capture every little moment of their leisure or even business trip.
To catch a glimpse of Central Europe many like to catch a flight to the capital of Austria - Vienna. Vienna this time around the year is the perfect spot for sun lovers, the sun's heat is warm enough to let you enjoy your summer wear, and the cold wind that blows across the city, makes the sun heat. However, it is a popular destination even in winters when snow covered monuments give the city a completely new look and feel.
Like mostly other cities, Vienna also invites its tourists to its city centre, where the huge Hofburg Complex boasts the best this city has to offer. Horse carriages would be ready for you to give you a tour of the city in the most elegant and romantic fashion, sitting in a buggy with your beloveds and enjoying the beautiful architectural sights around you, the natural rhythm of the horses shoes giving it all the magical touch needed. Everywhere you look you will find history, the buildings and statues are standing monuments of what was once the grand empire of Austria. Even the parliament building is a piece of art to admire. A sight not to miss here is the beautiful rose garden in Volksgarten, where you can actually see one of the largest and uniquely coloured roses ever.
Vienna's highlight is the famous Schonobrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the imperial family. If you go to Vienna atleast half a day is reserved to spend in this huge palace. Stroll inside to admire the magnificent interior of the palace, or just enjoy the gardens that surround it. A zoo, fountains, forest, a labyrinth, a cafe, the palace offers everything in its premises to provide a perfect day out. The gardens that surround Schonobrunn are decorated with flowers and fountains. It is hard to imagine how much manpower is used to maintain such a massive place, as the garden is perfectly intact and well kept.
Belvedere is another spot not to miss in Vienna. It was built as a summer residence of Prince Eugene. Now, tourists come to the place to see and appreciate, while localites come there to jog and exercise. The gardens along with the statues and architecture make it a favourite
