Best movies ever

by Poetic Enigma

When thinking of the best movies that have been produced to date, a few come to mind. I am open minded to any genre, however I do enjoy thrillers, comedy and musicals more than most.

Ever since I can remember, I have been an avid fan of thriller films. There are the famous ones, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street. I cannot forget to mention Freddy vs. Jason where the evil villains go head to head. However, I think the best thrill would have to be Hitcher.

The first Hitcher was made in 1986, and makes you think twice before picking up any hitchhiker out on the street. The second version, which came out in 2007, takes the old movie to the extremes as two teens are taking a road trip and pick up a hitchhiker named John Ryder. Ryder makes you curious from the beginning when he says that he is from all over, and in between jobs. Typically in these types of movies females don't play lead roles, much less the heroines. Grace, played by Sofia Bush, takes the movie by storm and ends the movie the way most thrillers should end. When the movie is at the closing, and John Ryder is dying, he asks her if shooting him feels good. All she can say is, "I don't feel anything".

Comedy is also a great genre in the field of movies. There have been many great movies to date, but my favorite would have to be Click. Most could agree that Adam Sandler is a very funny man. He has played many hilarious roles, and has sung a slew of comical songs. Can anyone remember Lunch Lady Land? The song he sings about living in a lunch lady land, and the Sloppy Joe plays the hero, making them all live together in a happy home.

Click, in my opinion is Sandler's best movie as of yet. Adam Sandler plays a workaholic and a business man named Michael, who just wants time to fast forward to when he makes partner at his firm. While searching for a universal TV remote at Bed Bath and Beyond, he stumbles upon Morty (who seems to be an angel, or at least not real) who gives Sandler's character an advanced universal remote and the power to program any part of his life. Just as if we were watching a movie, he could fast forward, rewind, and skip through chapters of his life. What he did not know when he received the remote was that the remote went on autopilot and started fast forwarding everything that he had previously skipped through (such as arguments with his wife and family dinners).

In movie genres, I cannot leave out musicals. Musicals add an extra element to the movie world because the
