Poetry: In God's hands

Through my shell you can't read my heart
My inner world is falling apart
Beaten and bruised, bereavement the blues
Organ misplaced, but trust not in hate
The faith in my blood has thickened with time
Put trust in God engraved in my mind
Stone after stone has shattered me thin
Not the outside, but the person within
Looked in the mirror and who did I see
The image of God staring boldly at me
The words that He said rung deep in my mind
I'll share them with all to spread through mankind
Listen my darling I come now in peace
Relieving your pain, your stress and your grief
Children of God you must understand
My words became flesh when I came down as man
Have you forgotten I've been through this too?
Have you forgotten my son died for you?
On Calvary's ground, brought to his death
To make Satan's schemes no longer a threat
So put trust in me and your soul shall rise
The love you will find will be no surprise
The only surprise that might come to be
Is you didn't know you till you came to know me
