How to lose weight and keep it off

Do you want to lose weight and keep it off? If so, you may be looking for some special secrets. But do they really exist? Yes and no, and it all depends on what you consider fast. Losing 1-2 pounds a week is a very sustainable pace. If you lose weight any faster and it's likely water weight. This means that after you stop dieting, you'll gain it all back.

I'm sure you also want to lose weight as fast as possible. So what can you do? Resolve to lose weight fast but not too fast. Be content with losing 1-2 pounds a week and take it one step at a time. But, there are some secrets that can help you on your weight loss journey.

Drink Water

Most people say to drink water to be healthy and it also helps with weight loss. Since our bodies are made of water, being well hydrated keeps our body systems working in top form. And we need them to work in top form to speed up weight loss.

Focus on the Liver

I firmly believe that being nice to your liver is one way to encourage weight loss. This is because the liver is responsible for fat metabolism. It also does other things such as process toxins and medication.

In fact, if the liver is dealing with other things, such as processing alcohol or dealing with toxins, it could affect weight loss. Eat a healthy diet. Don't drink a lot of alcohol. Take milk thistle (follow the package instructions). These could all help the liver.

Eat Healthy

How many times have you heard this? That's because it works. I'm sure you know what to do. Just eat lots of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Be sure to consume the right amount of calories for your needs, too. If you eat too much you won't lose weight. But if you eat too little, you won't lose weight either. Consult with a nutritionist for guidance.

Move Your Body!

You don't need to go crazy. Doing cardio work most days for thirty minutes and strength training three times a week for thirty minutes should be enough, especially if you don't really have a workout schedule yet. But make sure you enjoy the activity. Just remember to work hard enough to sweat.

Hey, these aren't really secrets!

That's because there's no magic formula. Weight loss is common sense for the most part. The missing ingredient is YOU and your will to succeed. Don't give up and stay focused. Be content with losing one or two pounds a week. Before you know it, you'll be at your goal weight! And not only that, but you'll lose weight and keep it off.
