Money is the root of all evil

by Simonne Liberty

Created on: July 14, 2009

Money in itself is not the root of all evil. The Bible states that, it is "The LOVE" of money, that is the root of all evil. Money is a tool to sustain a lifestyle, and to help us to survive, in a world that uses money for all things. If money were more equally distributed, there would be no fear of its evil effects. It is when people become obsessed with the love of money, that it becomes evil.

Money will take over, and control a persons life. It becomes an addition. The more money one accumulates, the more they desire to get. The power that comes with the access of money, goes to a persons head. The ego becomes that of lust for power. Money can buy anything a person desires. The love of money leads to selfishness, and greed.

People who become wealthy, often lose the ability to be compassionate to the poor. Money holds them hostage to it's power. Those who accumulate large amounts of money, become conceited, and self-serving. They believe that they are worthy, and deserving of their fortunes. Wealthy people tend to look down on the poor, and accuse them of being lazy, and undeserving of simple basic human needs.

The love of money, turns a good person evil. Instead of being thankful, and appreciative of their blessings, they see themselves as being better, than those who have less than they do. The rich have an air of arrogance, that makes them see themselves as righteous. Our leaders, and those in authority in our society, are paid high wages, giving them the feeling of superiority. The higher up the financial latter a person is, the more they look down on the destitute.

Our leaders make decisions for the less fortunate in society. The have the power to give themselves large pay raises, while keeping the minimum wage for the poor, below poverty level. This is an example of power , and greed being evil. The love of money puts wealth above the concern for humanity. Most crimes committed, have a connection to money. The poor are desperate to get money to survive on, and the rich seek to hoard more wealth.

Royal families, and the super rich, usually marry someone who is also wealthy. They want to keep it in the family. The super rich can comfortably live on the interest of their wealth, while the poor must use every cent they earn, to survive. That is why, they can never get ahead. Those who obtain jobs of authority, usually obtain those jobs, based on their wealth. A person has to be wealthy to run for a political office. Those already in power, appoint their friends to other high paid jobs. It is all about the rich, helping the rich, stay rich.

People who run for political office are already wealthy. They continue to strive for more wealth, therefor resort to corruptions, and evil doings. Our politicians manage to rule with the potency for evil. That is why our world is in such chaos. That is why poverty will always exist. The LOVE OF MONEY is an addiction, that the wealthy have no desire to cure.
