Ares, the Greek god of war, may just be the most ruthless Olympian that one could ever encounter. Displaying strength, as well as vicious aggressiveness, Ares earns his title. The hulking Olympian's myth certainly supports the idea of his bloodlust and even his cowardice. Having a family tree consisting of many branches, Ares proves not only his parents' fertility but also his own. His actions were held in high regard by many warrior nations who chose to honor him in various ways. Overall, Ares embodies exactly what one would expect from a savage god of war.
A common misconception concerning Ares is that he is the Greek god of all war. Actually, Ares rules over the more brutal, violent end of things, while his half-sister Athena rules as the god of strategic war. In any case, Ares proves this brutality with his looks and with his personality. Often documented at around 6 feet and 1 inch, weighing 500 pounds, Ares remains a menacing figure among the Olympians and all else who look upon him. With jagged brown hair, fierce brown eyes, and a hard face, Ares can send fear rushing to someone in one look. In addition, his muscular physique suits him for his ultimate warrior position. To match this beastly exterior, Ares maintains an equally menacing personality. An incredible egotist, Ares is often aggressive, evil and downright bloodthirsty. This vicious persona, as well as continuous adultery, left Ares unpopular and highly distrusted upon his fellow Olympians and even his parents. Perhaps this lack of popularity fuels the god's superhuman strength. Unfortunately for the other Olympians, Ares would never die because he has the divine power of immortality. Thus, the residents of Mount Olympus must forever deal with Ares and his brutal shenanigans.
It was these shenanigans that Olympians had to deal with ever since Ares' conception. Born normally to Zeus and Hera, Ares was expected to be a normal god. But early on in his youth, Ares showed numerous signs of violence and disrespect. This was most definitely a precursor to the rest of his never-ending life. Assisting humans on any side of a battle, Ares was known for his desire for the blood of anyone. A fierce competitor and warrior, Ares would squash armies with his massive strength. There were moments in his mythological story, however, in which Ares displayed cowardice even in the face of the danger that he so loved. One such display occurred when Hephaestus, Ares' brother, sprung a trap that proved an affair
