I do not think Americans should be forced to use public transportation because the system has to be improved. The people who make use of public transportation today are people with low to moderate incomes.

The majority of these people do not know how to act in public. Some are drunk, others are getting off from work and they are dirty and smelly. Baby strollers always block the aisle. There is a lot of shown emotions on public transportation such as fighting and cursing.

Make sure the children's ears are covered if you take public transportation. If you do not want your child to hear all the filth coming from different people, then it is best not to put your child on public transportation. People do not respect themselves or other people's rights.

No one corrects anyone because of fear of being insulted or killed. You do not know if the person has some type of weapon. You do not know if the person mistakes you for someone else. You do not know when rival gangs will be on public transportation.

I know since our economy is so bad a lot of people have lost their jobs and they might try public transportation because they have no choice. I do not care if you have to roller skate, bike, hitch hike, carpool, or glide into town, do not take public transportation.

People do not cover their mouths or nose when they cough or sneeze. The air conditioner is on in the summer and all the windows are close. The heat is on in the winter and all the windows are close. It is a number one germ laboratory. People urinate, have sex and throw their food on the floor on public transportation.

The people who are in charge are not doing their duty to insure the safety of all passengers. They basically do not care. They are probably short of funds and do not want to scare potential passengers away.

Those potential passengers probably saw what was happening and decided to give up public transportation altogether. These businesses do not want the best of the rest, they want the lump in the dump.

I think strict rules should be in place so that everyone can enjoy public transportation. These businesses who transport should appoint junior officers on the bad routes.

The public should be educated on what the transport companies expects of them before they get on board. No cursing, dress appropriately, strollers should be folded, no food, no talking on cell phones, no graffiti on back of seats, the elderly and handicap people should have first priority to front seating.

Enforce the rules so the whole public can enjoy the benefits of their tax dollars.
