Religion is a belief, a faith in the divine and a way of living. Religion can come in many forms from Spirituality, Hinduism, Christianity only to name a few, all religions are a basis of belief, perception and faith which can be interpreted in many different ways. Every person has different thoughts in which they believe and if believed strongly enough with the correct basis for belief and faith, people will follow these beliefs which can turn very dangerous.

Religion can be used for misleading people if in the wrong hands. People will follow others who claim to be the voice of God if reasoning is seen within them. People who are looking for a better life, in need of higher guidance and wanting to be closer to God for their own spirituality. Turning to preachers who are claiming to have the word of God and spreading his message, quoting from the bible and living by his word can attract many followers who hang onto their very word, giving them their faith and belief into a better life. We have seen the dangers this can bring to innocent soul searching people.

These destructive religious cults brainwash innocent victims into believing what they are doing and the way they are living is the way of God. Forcing children into marriage, abusing these children whose parents warped brainwashed faith believe this is the way of God. Children of Nigeria who have been branded evil, preachers claiming they are witches, brainwashing people to believe they have created bad crops, a death in the family, divorce or loss of job. How can an innocent child create these natural occurrences where they have no possible impact on the situation. Forcing these innocent unfortunate children to live in fear which results in them being abused and murdered. Parents and family members turning on their children because of a pastor's say so, he is the word of God, performing exorcisms which result in the child being burnt, poisoned, slashed, chained up, burnt alive, all this abuse in the name of God.

This is the harsh reality which religion can bring, people believe these disturbed preachers because they claim to be God, the voice of God, with the basis of a faith which is then turned into brainwashing and abuse. Followers believe what they are doing is right even if it will result in the death of the another, claiming it is not abuse as they are doing Gods work ridding the world of evil. These preachers and followers claiming to live a religious life brainwash, abuse and murder the innocent. Religion can be extremely dangerous as people with believe if there is a basis for faith.
