Early Sunday morning, Willie the large golden retriever dog ran inside of Terran's bedroom. He climbs into bed and start licking Terran on his face. "Stop, Willie! Get off me you crazy dog!" shouted Terran. Usually when Willie climbs into Terran's bed early in the morning, it is an indication he wants to go outside to potty or he wants something to eat. Terran goes into the kitchen opens up the pantry pulls out the bag of dog chow pours some in Willie's doggie bowl. Willie devours the chow within minutes he was so hungry. Terran's mom walks into the kitchen, she tells him to eat some cereals for breakfast, than go upstairs and get ready for church.

Terran loves his dog; they both have an amazing story on how they first met. Willie was born inside of a puppy mill, when he was a little pup some animal rights people paid for his freedom. The people who had imprisoned them drowned his mother and some of his brothers and sisters. It is a miracle he is alive; Evelyn, Terran's mother wanted her son to have a dog so she had a friend who works as an Animal Rights Activist, he arranged for Evelyn to adopt Willie as a pet. They felt that Willie would be the perfect pet for Terran. Terran had survived a traumatic experience also.... When Terran was four years old, some men kidnapped him from the Day Care where he was staying while his parents were at work. While he was in their captivity, they sexually molested him, tortured him, and kept him inside of a cage like an animal. It took Law Enforcement two years before they found him. He had to stay in therapy for a long time, had to learn how to talk and walk all over again. When they adopted Willie, he was in real bad shape. He was malnourished, and he had deep cut on one of his paws. While he was in the puppy mill, they restrained him with barbwire. The poor pup had dog bites all over his body from the other dogs biting him. It took several months for the dog to recover from the entire ordeal. Both Terran and Willie grew up and recovered together, they were the best of friends. They both managed to survive through their traumas.

One day, Terran was playing catch with Willie in the backyard. Some boys who went to Terran's school decided to come inside of the backyard. They were strangers to the dog; Willie had begun to growl at the boys, he showed his teeth as the boys came closer toward Terran. Willie chased the boys out of the yard and down the street. Terran had to chase after the dog to keep him from biting the boys.
