Earning money on the Internet is already not something new, but it has been one of the hottest topics currently being discussed in many web forums . The problem is that not many Internet users are familiar enough to differentiate a scam from a genuine online earning website. So the most important thing to do before signing up with any online earning website is to search for information and details to find out more.
People like to earn by doing simple things. The most popular earning program starting in the year 2007 was 'get paid to click' or commonly known as PTC. Users only have to click on the advertisement links and usually after 30 seconds, they will be paid 1 cent for such link. However, this business model is quite fragile and may not work unless there are endless external advertisers paying for their advertisement links to be clicked. As it turns out, most of such websites wind up and became scam. So I do not believe in 'get paid to click' anymore.
Users have to bear in mind that 'when something is too good to be true, it probably is'. So you have to do something to earn those money and the source of the income has to be stable and on-going. This is what I faithfully believe.
The following are some of the most simple ways to earn money online based on my personal experience:
1. 'Blogging'
I am sure many people are already doing it. But out of so many 'bloggers', how many actually made serious money with their blog. Do not expect your blog to be visited by thousands just after setting it up with your first post. You need to promote the blog with social bookmarking websites and other means to earn the traffic which determines your earnings. Typically, all you need to do is to link your blog with advertisement affiliate like the most popular Google Adsense or AdBrite.
Sometimes, I have came across blogs that do not have any Google advertisement banner at all. This is such a waste. It does not hurt to place one banner or two to earn the page impression even if your visitors do not click on the advertisement banners.
2. Freelance Writing
If placing banners or ads is too complex to you, maybe you should try writing. It is a way to expressed ourself on our personal perspective. If you are a creative person, you may want to write some stories and earn some money with those articles. All you need to do is to join any of the freelance writing websites below. There are many types of writing to choose from. For instance, if you like to write about facts and opinions, you may wished to write for Helium, Bukisa or Triond. If you like to do some news reporting, maybe you should join GroundReport and start a community journalism career.
Freelance writing Websites:

www.Bukisa.com
www.Triond.com
www.Shvoong.com

3. Paid to post pictures / video clips
If you are not so much of a writer, but like to share your content, like pictures, photographs or video clips, you can try to earn money just by sharing them. It is so simple and easy that even a kid will be able to do this. If you are a photographer and love to travel, share your pictures with the rest of the 'netizens' and earn some serious income. If you like to surf video sites like YouTube or Veoh, link the interesting video clips to Flixya and get rewarded when someone visits them.
One of the website which offers this is www.flixya.com. This site practically allows you to post your video and pictures. This typically works like any other advertisement revenue sharing website like freelance writing. But one thing unique about Flixya is that it actually pays 100% of its revenue to members based on their traffic. But you must have a Google Adsense account because the payment will be accounted there. All you need to do is to link your Google unique 'publisher ID' to Flixya and you are all set to earn.
4. Get paid to link
Alright, if posting pictures and video clips is not even simple for you, then try 'get paid to link' websites. Bascially, you just need to link web addresses and post them somewhere, such as on forums, social bookmarking site or social networking sites like Facebook, Friendster or Hi5 sharing it with your friends. When people click on your link, it will be directed to the page with an advertisement banner or something like that and you get paid for it. Some of the 'get paid to link' website that I have been paid are as follows:
www.linkbee.com
www.linkbucks.com
5. Get paid to discuss
Well, if you feel that linking web addresses is too much of a hassle, you may want to try get paid just to discuss. Bascially, it is like a forum and you get paid for everything on which you start a discussion or respond to one. Too bad, payment is calculated based on how many you have started or responded. The earning is not ongoing. So it is quite labour intensive. If you are participating in some forums that do not pays you, it is now time to switch to one that pays.
One of the best get paid to discuss website is - www.MyLot.com. I am sure many people who are new to online earning scene, may be quite skeptical on this website. So I am posting a payment proof on MyLot for sharing.
6. Get paid to search
If all the above ways are not simple enough, then try 'get paid to search'. Currently, there is only one website that is paying users to search and it is - http://www.myhpf.co.uk. You guess it, all you need to do is to use the search engine which is tied to Yahoo and get paid everything you or your referred friend performed a search. Easy enough? This is probably the easiest way to earn online online.
