Poetry: Just me

by Juanita Swyney

How many times we quarrelled and slammed the door

Here I was back again, asking for more

You let me in again in the rain

Cos, it was just me.

We went down town, hand in hand

We tossed each other in the sand

You tickled me, till I was mad, I screamed and yelled

But you hugged me, it was just me.

The music blared across the room

Oh! what music that brought me such gloom.

Can you change the music please

No, he teased, because it was just me.
