"Are you done yet?" asked Sebastian as he stood at the top of the basement stairs.
"Leave me alone," barked Javier. " I'm never going to finish if you keep bothering me."
Sebastian took one last stare at his brother as he closed the door. Javier had been in there for days, working on a mystery project. He claimed it was for school, but no one knew for sure. Sebastian hopped on the leather couch and flipped through channels. He heard a growling and realized it was his stomach. He hadn't eaten anything since lunch time, so he ws due for his last meal of the day.
" I'm hungry Javier!" yelled Sebastian desperately. He hoped Javier would come up to fix dinner.
" I'm busy," replied Javier. " Eat something frozen."
That was what Sebastian hoped he wouldn't say. Eat something frozen meant digging through the freezer and hope there was something to eat. Sebastian walked heavily to the kitchen, making sure Javier would hear his dissapointment. He got to the fridge and Javier was still in the basement. He dreamed of driving one of those cars and was heading to the top of the tallest building. He was near the top when he felt a violent shake. He was hesitant to open his eyes.
" Sebastian," whispered Javier. " Wake up."
" Let me sleep," mumbled Sebastian.
" I finished."
Sebastian's eyes were wide open at the sound of the phrase. He jumped out of bed.
" Can I see it?" questioned Sebastian.
" That's why I woke you up. Come on!"
Javier was the first out the door. For a second, he seemed more excited than Sebastian. However, Sebastian soon caught up. When he reached the basement, his brother had already been there. The door was wide open and he could hear Javier done there. Over exicted, Sebastian ran down the stairs. His foot caught one of the ragged steps causing him to roll down the last few steps. Javier turned around and saw blood around Sebastian. He quickly ran to him. Sebastian was barely
