Pain from Love
When is the pain going to end? Can we talk? Can you explain to me what you are going through and when? You and I will see eye to eye. When the pain going to end? Its me your friend! Do you remember? I miss you. Can we hang out and laugh again? I see your heart has been broken by another man. Can we talk about your sanity, please don't give it to him. I'll understand, I was there too...once. That one time was once too many. I had giving my all to him. I was head over hills about him. I thought he was my God, I had worshiped him.
Pain from love is the pits. We spend all our time and energy into one guy, while his time and energy are flirting, or sexing with the next chic. Girlfriend, I need you to survive. He was just one bad apple. Come on, I am going to fix you up and we are going out to get some fresh air. Let me pull back this curtains, and clean this house some. Open up these windows, it smells like hot funk. Yeah, you know you want to laugh. Go take your shower, for I can do your hair, but in the mean time I going to order us some food. Remember that Chinese place we use to eat from all the time, is that place still in business? "Yes," my girlfriend said. "Wow," you can speak. We laughed, well I laughed she smiled.
After her shower I styled her hair, and we ate and talked. She said this was her first time really eating since a week ago. She said she just could not keep anything down, nor did she have an appetite. We both agreed that the food was on point, it was delicious. I had told her again that I had missed her. She was my hang out partner. She put her head down and said softly,"I know." "I saw your number on the caller ID, but I just didn't want to be bothered," she explained. I told her I understood, however I was worried as well. I told her I loved her, and no matter what I will always be there for her.She lifted up her head and said, "thank you." She wiped a tear from her eye and began to open up. She spoke softly. "He forced himself on me, when I called it quits. I was screaming no, but that made things worse. He punched me in my mouth, and told me to shut the hell up. He began to tell me, if he cant have me no one will, and that I was his forever. Blood was every where, down my neck, on my cheek, in my mouth. My tooth was loose. At one point I had to spit to prevent from choking, but he thought it was meant for him. After that I found myself in the hospital. He beat me until I had passed out, and left me for dead. Thank God my mother was in the neighborhood and was thinking of me. I am just starting to heal in my lower area, he had stuck an object there." She continue to say,"it was not his object." There was a pause and we burst out in laughter. I told her I was so sorry that she had to go through such trauma. She said, "I'll be OK, I just have to take things one day at a time."
After admiring herself in the mirror, she looked at me and told me thank you. She said, "your presence today gave me hope." She held my hands, and thanked me for not giving up on her. She said, "you're right love is painful, but just like you, I'll be the next woman or friend to another to pull them through."
