Dear George Bush:
We, as a nation, hope things are going well with you. Thank you for your eight years of service as President of the United States of America. We are truly grateful your service is over. I am sorry for that little embarrassment on the aircraft carrier when you claimed victory in the middle east. I am sorry for those WMD's that never showed up. I am sorry the U.S. economy went into a tailspin as result of that expensive war. I am sorry for the increased national deficit I am sorry for the hundreds of U. S. military and thousands of Iraqi casualties. I am sorry for both imputed and received tortures in your Guantanamo and Gitmo chambers.
I am sorry, Mr. Bush, your legacy is that of a war criminal. If only those wmd's had been there. If only that war had not been so expensive. If only greed had not gained victory in the housing and financial markets. If only we had actually won the war when claimed on that aircraft carrier.
If only you had been a hero like your pilot father. If only you had another mother. If only your homeland security creation had not robbed freedom from every American. If only the country were not repeating the period of the Great Depression as result of your irresponsible fiscal and monetary policies. If only health care issues would go away.
One becomes at a loss for words at the gargantuan incompetence driven by greed and ego of your administration. One travels below pathos and enters spiritual bathetic catatonia when examining the collateral damage caused by your decisions. I hope the personal ego satisfaction was worth the cost borne in the form of guilt.
One wishes that administration never happened. What would we; as a nation; have now, if that wish were true? Possibly a nation less fearful for security and free from adversarial strife with other nations. Quite probably, improved relations with two hotbed of conflict nations:Israel and Palestine. Most definitely, lesser quantities of horrific; pugilistically inflicted; pain and death.
It is sad and shameful that our former Commander-in-chief carries as little integrity Bosnian ethnic cleansers. if only the higher road had been realized, acknowledged; and taken.
Best regards in future endeavors, Mr. Bush. One does not wish disfavor, and yet surmises regards will be needed on judgment day.
Sincerly yours,
one U.S. citizen
