Being young forever is what everyone wants. And even though it may seem like a pipe dream, in all honesty, it isn't. Haven't you seen people who look the same now as they looked ten years ago; some of them look even better, in fact. When there is a will, there is a way. Follow the the five tips below and freeze time forever!
1. Sleep enough and more importantly, sleep well. Quality is more important than quantity. Therefore, even though it would be ideal if you could sleep 8 hours a day every day, if that cannot always happen, then you can at least make sure that during the 6 or 7 hours of sleep that you get, you really take the much needed rest and relaxation that your entire body craves for.
Here is how you can accomplish that:
a) Sleep and wake up at regular hours.
b) Do not consume caffeine for at least four hours before bed time
c) Avoid alcohol and heavy meal consumption for at least 3 hours before bedtime
d) Avoid intense physical exercise for at least two hours before bedtime
e) Do not take naps during the day
f) Take a hot bath about an hour before bedtime
g) Make sure that your bedroom is comfortable, noise free and in the right room temperature
2. Drink lots of water, at least eight glasses per day. Count one glass more for each cup of coffee you drink. Water helps in cleansing of the skin as well as in expelling toxins of the body.
Here are a few important things to keep in mind:
a) Drink two glasses of water upon waking up
b) Do not drink water during meals, as this prolongs digestion and makes it harder. Drink one-two glasses of water two hours before a meal and two hours after a meal. Prefer pure bottled water, as it is considered to be the safest type of water.
3. Stop smoking. Smoking enhances an enzyme which reduces your collagene production. Collagene is used to support your skin though, so when it is reduced it is easier for wrinkles and skin sags to be formed, making you look older than you really are.
4. Maintain a healthy weight. Exta weight leads to high blood pressure, high levels of triglykerides, high levels of LDL cholesterol as well as low levels of HDL cholesterol, all of which can lead to heart disease and stroke. Having to follow a strict diet and take several medicines makes you look older than you really are.
5.Engage in physical activites which help your heart function better. Aerobic exercise three times a week is ideal for your heart, since it makes your heart muscle pump harder for a while, making deterioration
