Why didn't you find it in your heart to forgive me?

What did I do to make you turn away in fury and wrath?

I didn't intend to hurt you, but I found that you took it that way.

I failed to do all that you might have expected me to do

And now I know your heart is as cold as icy steel.

Can I get a repeal?

Can I get at least a wave of the hand?

A "I forgive you" would be appropriate

But no, you have written me off, dropped me from your list.

How long will I remain unforgiven, confused, embarrased in time?

Only one can answer that question - and that question can be answered only by
