Poetry: Because of God

by Jared Lorance

Created on: July 10, 2009

Because of God somebody died today,

Believing his soul would be flown away.

Because of God somebody committed suicide,

Thinking they would go to heaven when they died.

What can be more divine than my creation,

What are the chances humans would evolve.

My ancestors would move to this country,

And my parents would have met at this destination.

Because of God somebody died today,

Believing his soul would be flown away.

Because of God somebody committed suicide,

Thinking they would go to heaven when they died.
