Poetry: Lost in the dark

by Victoria Montgomery

Created on: July 10, 2009

a student of change

my mind rejects the dichotomous

complexities which roll off my tongue, and

my thoughts betray me

every waking moment spent

making sense of my personal pantomimes while

grand movies project in my skull and

my imaginations are deemed useless.

intuition fails me sending

my femininity whispering in desperation as

kinetic floods slam through the door and

my confusion drifts into the night

making love with another illusion

offering peace in the dark.
