One minute you say you want me, and the next you are unsure
Boy why are you toying with me, I can't play this game no more
You said you would call, so each night I sit by the phone
When it rings my heart skips a beat,
Wanting to hear your voice but still a little bit unsure
If this is another one of your games
Or will this be the time you play for keeps
I am tired of the games; I know I am worth more
If it's not the real thing walk out the door and call no more
I would rather have none of you than bits and pieces at a time
I cannot keep doing this to myself; I have to protect my heart
I know this may hurt me, more than it will bother you
Maybe I never touched your heart, the way I wanted to
I was a just a distraction, someone to pass the time
So before I get too involved, I'll just say goodbye

You 're just never going to understand me
You 're just never going to get me
When I tell you things, you never listen
When
