Emotions change minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, depending on the situations. The strongest emotions a person can have is when they are fighting an injustice. All emotions are involved anger, fear, hate, compassion and love.
"That is not fair!" I have felt and said that more then once in my life time. Everyone I know has felt an injustice at least once in their lives. If the injustice is noticed and change it is a great feeling. Almost to the point where some people might like another's unfair act done to them just so they can fight to correct it and get that feeling of elation that nothing else can compare.
I must ask myself when I feel that an injustice has been done to me is this actually an intentional wrong or human error on my part or theirs.
If one has a feeling of being trapped and unable to fight injustice that is when defeat and despair sets in. Depending on the depth of the wrong and the person's attitude determines the time it takes to accept it.
Injustices to groups have happened all through history. Anti-semitism, segregation, and sex discrimination, just to mention a few. Groups are usually more powerful then individuals when it comes to fighting for the rights of others. Although it takes only one strong person to start the group.
It is harder to fight corporations and powerful organizations when they have done someone an injustice. Most of them have powerful and experienced attorneys behind them. If the fight of justice is for your mental and physical health and others it is certainly worth doing all that can be done to bring out the truth in the situation. In the short run it may seem much easier to just live with it but in the future to do nothing will be a decision of regret.
Justice and revenge are not the same. When someone is done an injustice many people seek revenge. Revenge is detrimental in the long run. Although it may feel good at the time. Maybe that is why so many movies the seek revenge are so popular. Much more noticed then the ones seeking justice for their victims.
Rosa Parks, American Civil Rights Activist, by not giving up her seat on the bus to a white person, is a prime example of an individual protesting for her right to be treated human and encouraging individuals to stand strong for their beliefs. almost everyone no matter what color or status could feel her emotions and the determination to be treated equal. She had an lasting impact on society forever.
