Poetry: Procrastination

Created on: July 09, 2009

I am trying not to procrastinate

but I'm afraid it'll just have to wait..

and being tardy is a thing I hate.

I wasted time writing these words,

and this poem is now quite absurd!

The craziest thing I've ever heard,

I think I've my priorities blurred.

So I must stop writing this old rot,

save you think I am what I am not!

But what that is I've quite forgot,

I suspect now I have lost the plot.

I promise this is the very last verse,

as it's transformed from bad to worse.

I must admit it's become a curse,

and my poor muse I'll need to nurse.

Okay, finally, there will be no more,

I think this is all becoming a bore.

I even forget why I started this for!

And to end it well will be a chore...
