Google is the most popular search engine on the web. It is important to realize that Google can serve as a search engine for more than just keyword searches. Google can be used to find images, videos, news, movie show times, and more. Google has various places to search for movie show times no matter where you are. In this article we will look at several different ways to find movies on Google.com.

Search Features (google.com...features.html#loc al):

Using Google Search Features you can find just about anything you need. The middle choice under Local Search is movies. Type in the name of a movie, or type "movies," and your zip code, an example search would be "Transformers 2 49546" or "movies 49546." When you hit enter, Google will take you to its main search page and show you the results, as it would for any other search. Entering the same thing into the main Google search bar will yield the same results.

Google Search (google.com):

As mentioned above, if you use the normal Google search bar you can type in the name of a movie and your zip code and Google will take you to the top websites which will inform you as to where and when your movie will be playing or will show you the top theaters in your area so you can search for a movie from their websites.

Google Movies (movies.google.com):

This is the official movie search for Google.com. Once you go to this site you will see a location search bar. You can save your location so the next time you go to movies.google.com your location will already appear and you will be able to select the movie you want and find the show time, skipping the first step. The Google Movies page contains reviews and show times for every theater in your area. If you haven't heard about any movies you know you want to watch, then this is a great option so you can see what other users are calling the best movies to see in theaters.

My Opinion

The simplest way to search for movies using Google is to type in "movies" in the main search bar at google.com. If you've searched for anything in your area before then Google's top page for you should be a website with a list of the theaters closest to you. If you've never searched for anything in your area then the first site will be movies.com where you can enter in your zip code and find the theaters closest to where you live.

If these steps don't seem make since, without pictures, here's a great place to go to with five easy ways to find movies using Google. Thanks for reading. Good luck searching for those movies and have a great time watching them.
