Why is it hard to get your life organized?

The answer seems too obvious - there are far too many uncontrollable variables in our lives! Even when you have made a plan, don't expect the plan could be followed in 100%. People tend to wish everything to be under control, but believe it or not, this is the major reason why it is hard to get your life organized.

When you wish everything goes in your own way, you will leave no room for flexibility. This perfectionistic mindset leads you to dissatisfaction and frustration. Even when you have the constant amount of things goes uncontrollable; you feel your world messier than a person who expects accidents. Thus, if you want your life to be more organized, it is the time for you to put down the perfectionistic mindset.

After you have done the first thing, you can find ways to make your life more organized. To be an organized person, you need to be proactive but not reactive as an old saying. Passivity makes things worse by piling them up. Simple problems will become more complicated under ignorance. Procrastination produces the same result. Time gave way to higher probability of risk, which simply means 10 seconds has a bigger chance for accidents to happen than a single second (easy huh?). On the other hand, according to the second law of thermodynamics, things on Earth have a natural tendency to go into disorder. Just like this - mess will build up if you don't tidy up your house in just a few days. Organization needs active input of effort and energy. Therefore, be active but not passive to become more organized in life.

The effort of organization is composed of your endurance and perseverance in your life. Never easily give up any aims and plans you have set before. Giving up a thing again cause negative emotions and loss of confidence. In addition, the act of giving up leads to the need of drastic change, which costs you energy to organize things from the starting place. Persisting in your life means making evaluations and improvements after failures and possible conflicts between different parties. Only when you are willing to input effort and energy in keeping the organization of your life, you will be able to make it.

Lastly, in order to keep things organized, check if you have set a clear aim and priority for your life. If you have lived till now and still find confused what you life is about, you need to sit down or take a vacation far away from your work to think about it. Loss of priority and lack of a specific long term aim in life disable you to organize events in your life effectively. This is the most time wasting cause that renders one's life worthless or meaningless. Only when you have a clear aim, you can organize everything in place.

After knowing the cause of difficulty in keeping life organized and the ways to prevent it, you still need to become more proactive to carry them out. Stay flexible, expecting accidents and failures, set a clear aim and know your priorities, then be willing to input your effort and energy in keeping your life organized. You will soon find you are living in your amazing new life.
