It has been over a year since Sarah Palin took center stage on the national political scene, and she is still making headlines. When the former Governor from Alaska speaks, people watch, and listen! Why is she still taking cheap shots from the media and late night talk show hosts?This article will take a look at this dynamic new figure and will also review the media coverage of this candidate, and explore the prospect of Sarah Palin running for President of the United States, in 2012.

Since appearing on the national political stage in September '08, the former Governor from Alaska has electrified the political scene. She has enjoyed the highest approval rating of any current U. S. Governor, and her constituents approval ratings prove that she had performed an outstanding job as Governor of her state.

Palin is an accomplished leader, an exceptional communicator, and is one of the people. She is fit, relatable and charming, dedicated and loyal to her family, state, and country. She is an undoubtedly a credible contender! Her new book, Going Rogue, was on the N.Y. Times best seller list, weeks before release.

Nonetheless, from the start, Palin has been relentlessly ridiculed, attacked, and unfairly scrutinized by many of the opposition, most of which try to demean Palin with personal attacks. She definitely has a virtual target on her, and the attacks horrifically cruel in nature.

Take for instance David Letterman. Letterman who has an unhealthy obsession with Palin, has stooped so low in desperation for ratings on his outdated show, to liken the Governor of the State of Alaska to a -slutty- flight attendant. Letterman also callously referred to Palins' young daughter in a tasteless, despicable comment! Can you imagine him, or anyone in the media for that matter, getting away with ridiculing perhaps Michele Obama with those kind of remarks, or making those references to the Obama girls?

But why these attacks on Sarah Palin? You can argue indisputable facts, that describe Sarah Palins qualifications, and the Palin haters laugh, diminish her, and talk about the size of Alaska, make fun of her accent, or focus on untruths, or inconsequential minutia. Constantly undermining her accomplishments, they are never willing to admit that a governor is more qualified to run a country than say, a community organizer! They continually misrepresent her, and persist to perpetuate false accusations and rumors about her and her family.
