The glory of that crimson shield of light,
That harbinger of the daytime's blight,
Its sanguine rim flashes emerald green,
At the ocean's zenith, a miracle seldom seen,
But its also believed to be that gleaming gate,
That leads to She'ol and its darkened state,
Not that door to the Bosom of Abraham,
But the bar that imprisons the rightfully damned,
For Gan Eden is in the east and Gehinnom in the west,
The Kingdom of Yahweh and Satan's bequest,
But when I see sunsets I think of roses,
Shining its dimmed lamp with the greatest purposes.
