Poetry: Ocean eyes

by Dawn Stout

Created on: July 08, 2009

The eyes of the ocean are upon me as I splash along the shore.

My bare feet, being washed in the waves.

The sand that has been traveling for miles and miles between my toes.

I pick up sea shells and sand dollars as I walk.

Watching the sun begin to set,

I look out upon the water.

I think about the mysteries the ocean holds.

A reminder of the past, a part of the present and a beacon into the future.
