The word "Money-Making" can be referred to many different skills in Runescape. One of the most beneficial money-making skills is mining. Mining can give you an appreciable amount of exp, while assisting you on your journey to be a millionaire. Ores such as iron, coal, adamantite and runite are needed in great demanded and can be sold for a noticeable price.
Train your mining level to 15, then grab your pickaxe and head to the south-east varrock mine. Mine a bagful of iron ores and then head to the east varrock bank to deposit your load. repeat the process until your mining level reach 30. Iron ores can be sold for 100 gp in Grand Exchange and can be mined fairly easily.
At level 30, go to the Dwarven Mine to the north of Falador. Head down a staircase north east from the east bank of Falador, Their will be level 14 scorpions near the staircase. Head north until you reach the coal rocks, after a full bag, head to the east bank and deposit your load. This process is my personal favorite till level 60. Coals can be sold for around 200gp and can take a while to mine for low level.
At level 60, you have gained the ability to enter the mining guild. The Mining Guild contain 37 coal rock and at level 60 coal should be fairly easy to mine and a full bag shouldn't take long. Continue selling coals at Grand Exchange.
At level 70, there are various options, you can continue mining coal or you can head to south-west of lumbridge and mine adamantite ores. The mine contains two adamantite ores just like Falador but are usually less reserved the Falador mine. There are also seven coal rock in the mine. Adamantite ores can be sold for great amounts of money.
At level 85, You will be able to mine rune ore, they can be found in deep wilderness next to the lava mass. They are also pretty crowded with people, but the price of rune ore makes up for it. One bag of Runite ore can be sold for more than 200k.
Extra tips:
-For lots of money, do not bother training smithing just sell the ores for gold
-Mining requires patience and time.
-Smelting bars can also get you extra money but takes time. ( except for gold)
-Mining is good for multi-tasking because of the time taken to mine a rock
-There are some good mines in the wilderness but are quite far from bank
