There are so many fantastic lines in movies this could potentially be a really difficult question to answer; but the question isn't, "What's the greatest movie line ever?" It's just what are my favourites, and there are two which immediately spring to mind.

1) "The Truth About Cats And Dogs" is not an especially memorable or great movie. But it does have a fantastic throwaway line in it. One character asks another how they are feeling today and gets the response, "Nothing an AK47 and a rooftop wouldn't fix." Awful thing to say, but haven't you just really felt like that some days?

2) In the film "As Good As It Gets" Jack Nicholson gets a woman on a dinner date and offends her enough to make her contemplate leaving. He hadn't exactly charmed her beforehand, and the whole idea of being with him might just be a non-starter; why should she put up with him? His response is, "You make me want to be a better me."

That line struck me as summing up the entirety of how it feels to love someone in a single sentence, and something quite beautiful. It may not be the greatest movie line ever, but it's my favourite.
