Crafting is useful and profitable skill. It is an easy skill to master, but a hard skill to understand for beginners.
I am here to give you a few good tips to help you succeed in crafting.
Level 1-5
- For beginners, you can start off by completing the Sheep Shearer quest in the Lumbridge Sheep Farm, to start the quest, talk the Fred the Farmer in the sheep farm. He will teach you the how to sheep shear. You will gain an extra 150 exp and 60gp from the quest.
- If you know of to sheep shear no, you can continue sheep shearing until you level up.
- Make pots. 1. Mine clay ores, they can be found at the bottom of Varrock
2. Get a jug or bucket (the can be bought at General stores for a cheap price)
3. Fill the jug or bucket with water (you can get water from fountains or wells, I would recommend the fountain in Varrock)
4. Use the clay ore with the water to make soft clay.
5. Go to a potter's wheel (you can find them in the barbarian village)
6. Use the soft clay with the potter's wheel
7. Choose what you want to make from the screen that pops up (for level 1 it is pot)
8. Use the unfired item that you made on pottery oven.
- Make leather gloves. To make it, get cowhides, for every cowhide you need 1 coin. Go to a tanner (i recommend the one in Al Karid) and ask him to tan it for you. A screen will come up, choose the leather one. To make an item, simply just get a needle and thread (those can be bought in the Al Karid Crafting Shop), use the needle with the item and make what you want. (Leather items does not cost a much but also does not gives you as much exp as gold and silver)
Level 5-16
- Now is where crafting starts to get easier, if you have enough money, you can buy bars to craft. For a money making guide, use the link at the bottom of the page
- Crafting gold can get you a lot of exp. Simply just get a mould from the crafting shop from Al Karid (ring mould, necklace mould, amulet mould ...). Use the gold bar with a furnace and choose what you want to make. If you want to add a gem to it, must take cut gem with you. For amulets, you must attack a string to it, simply just use a wool (not ball of wool) with the amulet to complete it.
-Make the best leather item you can make so far
Level 16-20
- Now you can craft
