In the bleakest nightmare horror looms
Awaken by a rush of water down my face
Repeats the last moments of dark dreams
Gradually vanishing almost without trace
Fleeing from the effigies with dreaded haste
Drawing away light from the far window
Replacing night shadows with a bitter taste
Wrapped in iconic wreathing pillow
Memory sketches of the dark dream retrieved
Meandering slowly entwined my weaker soul
Pressing sore with urgency conceived
A heavy burden weight and hung in control
Capture passion and peace by a driven spirit
And rendered reality lost to a chilling realm
With excruciating horror mind and soul hurl out
Of this world, finding the next forcefully driven
Perched on foreboding gloom slow and strange
Hiding its name and the meaning of this dream
Behind the Gothic mask below a window ledge
Stain with frighten voices whisper and scream
Into the night, cries broken by the screech of owl
Dark syncopating sound roar with haunting waves
Trembling terror climbs out of the murky core dull
From the dark dreams reviving sinister memories
