Simple Things
How can I make you understand?
It's not things that make a man.
Your smile, your eyes, your love, your touch.
The simple things that mean so much.
You said the world, could all be mine.
When all I wanted was your time.

The simple things that mean so much.
When I said yes, I meant forever.
Forever, as long as we're together.
It's not what's owned, at life's last touch.
It's the simple things that mean so much.
When we're gone, our friends won't say,
"They had so much, until today."
They'll talk of love, of hope, and such,
and simple things that meant so much.
