Finding a truly gifted physic can be such a blessing and renew direction and clarity in a person's life; but falling in with a fraudulent practitioner can wreak havoc and pain. How do you sort the good from the bad? As with any profession, there are truly wonderful psychic who have dedicated their lives and talents to the service of others; and there are those bad apples that take advantage of desperate people in need. Just as when you are choosing a doctor, lawyer, or accountant, you must take some necessary steps to ensure the integrity of the professional you are consulting.

As with any profession, the best reference you can receive is by a personal recommendation by someone you know. Consulting a psychic is not as off-the-wall as it was once considered, you may know someone personally or someone whose relative consults with a psychic. Psychic themed partied are even popular is some circles. You would be surprised by the people that use psychics to help clarify and guide areas of their lives.

Local psychics also advertise just like any other provider of service; check the local phone book; or better yet; the websites of local practitioners. You can get a lot of information about the psychic before making any personal contact.

Now, again, just like any other consultant, not every psychic, not even every good physic is the right one for every person. In your research for finding the right person, consider your own intuition. The degree of success you have in working with a psychic practitioner has much to do with your own comfort and ability to open yourself to the person you are working with. By whatever means the physic uses to read energy, be it through tarot cards, crystals, aura readings or thousands of other devices, YOU and your energy are the thing that brings forth the ability to clarify and come to the answers to your questions. What path resonates with you? The stronger your belief in the system, the least resistance you will have to the practice.

Professional psychic are like any other practitioners. The good ones let you know EXACTLY what they charge before services are rendered. Most will let you know or post them conspicuously, it not, don't be afraid to ask for them straight away. If you have a specific question or area of your life that you would like to take a consultation on, let that person know. Most physics will also tape record the session for you to take home and review it. Some things that are not immediately clear to you might make more sense upon further review or time.

You are the most important part of the physic equation. Use your OWN intuition when judging the helpfulness of the physic. Did the session impact you in a positive way? When I say positive way I don't mean did you just hear what you wanted to hear; I mean did the overall impression of the session seem genuine with things that you consciously know and also with things that have been lurking just below your conscience level.

Clarity; not fear and not overly optimistic predictions, are what good psychics can bring to your life.
