Autumn
The amber color washed down into your belly,
you were fun then and I guess I was naive.
Our arms were cold but our bodies warmed as we sat outside,
remember? Do you remember?
You said your number aloud
and I told you stories of when I was ten
you laughed at them.
Remember? Do you remember?
We found ourselves together later on
and we made it work
despite our broken talent.
We found ourselves the next day
and you were not so thrilled
and I was disappointed that you changed.
I told you stories of when I was ten
and you were not amused,
just like your name you changed.
I screamed at you
and you cried
and I screamed at you.
I didn't know you'd change,
I want the way you were.
Remember? Do you remember?
