Stomach full of butterflies,
Wide awake and so alive.
Cheeks blushing,
Heart rushing.
She's gutless,
He's clueless.
But she's thinking
She can do this.
She starts to walk over
In her new pair of heels.
He leans against
His new set of wheels.
He notices her,
And pays more attention.
She becomes aware,
And gains more tension.
Within seconds
They are face to face.
Her apprehension
Easy to trace.
Frantically fluttering,
Speech stuttering.
She can barely
Remember her name.
It's fatal attraction
That's to blame.
She looks him in the eye
And flashes her best smile.
He leans in and kisses her gently,
Making her irregular heartbeat worthwhile.
