Low-fat snacks for busy lifestyles

and make a nice, soft snack that is a sweet treat without a lot of calories.

#3 - Dried Fruit - Dried fruit is a good choice for a low-fat snack, because it doesn't need refrigerating and can stay fresh and chewy for a long time. When you're on the go, dried fruit makes a great alternative to candy. Banana chips and apple chips are yummy, and dried apricots are especially good. Throw in a few raisins and some dried prunes, and you get a lot of vitamins in a low-fat snack.

#2 - Low-fat Shakes/Diet Shakes - Diet shakes and low-fat smoothies that are packed with vitamins and protein are a good low-fat choice for feeling full and using as a meal replacement when you are too on the go to stop to eat healthy but still want to get some nutrition in your diet. These should only be used occasionally, though, because it's better to get your nutrition from food when you can.

#1 - Fruit! - Fruit is the old standby. Nothing is as good for you as a fresh, ripe apple or a banana packed with potassium. Whole cherries are a nutritious snack on the go fruit that's low-fat and healthy, while not being messy! Oranges and other citrus fruits are full of vitamin C and other healthy things and all fruit is naturally low in fat and easy to carry for people on the go!

These are just some of the easy choices for people on the go to find healthy and fat-free or low-fat snacks. I'm sure you can be creative and think up some of your own! Share your favorite low-fat or fat-free snack in the comments.
