Video game characters: Tink from Disgaea 2

A floating, bow tie-wearing, lecherous frog with a dual personality to boot, Tink is one of the least likely characters ever to appear in a game. Given that he stars in Disgaea, however, it's not as surprising as it might normally be.

Serving as Rozalin's servant and seemingly a childhood friend, Tink first appears when Rozalin and Adell return to her manor. He attacks the party in his enraged form, and only calms down after being pounded. He decides to join Rozalin, ever her loyal servant, and reveals that her manor was all but destroyed when it was invaded by Demon Lord Etna. He blames her for his current frog shape, which is not his natural form.

Tink attempts to aid Rozalin in her schemes to kill Adell, though none are even remotely successful and Tink invariably ends up cleaning up the messes he causes. While traveling with the team he also meets Etna face to face, and quickly realizes she isn't the culprit behind his transformation. The real attacker, he learns much later, is Yukimaru's brother Fubuki, who seeks revenge on Zenon for destroying the Snow Clan.

Tink remains at Rozalin's side throughout the game and, depending on the ending, transforms back into his normal form at the end of the game, that of a blonde haired youth. What he does afterward is unknown, though presumably he remains on as a servant to Rozalin in some capacity.

Tink has an odd, dual personality. Most of the time he is a polite and somewhat charming servant who can calmly concoct schemes with his mistress. Once he changes color, however, Tink becomes lascivious and temperamental, challenging anybody and everybody to fights and hitting on every woman he sees. Which isn't to say he isn't still perverted in his normal form, of course, though Tink seems capable of controlling it better than when he's red. Tink's normal form seems at least partially unaware of what goes on during its transformations.

Tink is a decent combatant, using monster weapons in conjunction with a few unique attacks. His greatest use is as a way through the Item World, as Tink has a high natural Move and, being a flying enemy, can ascend to great heights and pass straight through enemies without stopping. His strengths don't change much in his cameo in Disgaea 3 - nor does his personality - though given that he's only a downloaded character, there's very little story around his appearance in Mao's Netherworld beyond his usual lecherous antics.
