Does attending church matter?

It isn't where you are that matters when worshipping God. So, I do not believe that attending the church of the masses or the church built of material items is not as important as caring for the temple that God provided you the very day you were born.

In Matthews of the bible it tells a tale of Christ in the temple and turning over the market centers and yelling at them for defiling it. He was angry at them being there with their stands, for selling what should be free for the sacrifices needed to God/The Divine. He told them that if they tore down the structure that he could rebuild God's temple in one day. He wasn't talking about the structure. He was talking about the human body that houses the soul given to us by God/The Divine.

People get so bent out of shape if you don't attend church. What they forget is that church isn't a place, it is your body. God's temple is the body that he gave you to house your spirit. You are the one who is asked to upkeep it, to care for it, till you are taken for judgement. It is what you do here on earth that determines how you will be judged.

Christ taught us to be humble unto God. He told us to be kind to others. He told us to give freely, and no to let your heart or mind interfere with your giving "Give but let not your left hand know what your right hand is doing." Some teach us that, the bible says, "We should hate our enemy". This is not totally untrue. I believe Moses did teach this, but Christ said "You have heard it said to hate your enemy, but I say to love your enemy." Many teach hate and bigotry, but Christ taught love, forgiveness, compassion, and not to judge others. He told us that it is not our place to judge but to love unconditionally as God our Father does. If we practiced, truly practiced the words and teachings of Christ then we would be in church everyday without ever stepping foot inside of a building made by man, because when you practice the teachings he gave us then you are in closer contact with Our Creator than anyone who goes to church and does not practice his teachings.

God is inside one and all, despite the pigment of skin, their desires, their health issues, the differences in size or appearance. God made everyone of us, not just a select few. It is the things we do with and towards others that determines how's God Our Creator looks at and views us, not whether we went to a building erected in his name. Many people go to church buildings. Not everyone that goes to them is a good person
