The only human in a game populated by demons, Adell is a fair-fighting young man whose sole goal in Disgaea 2 is to defeat the infamous Overlord Zenon, who was responsible for cursing his home of Veldime.

Adell first appears with the rest of his family at their house, attempting to summon Overlord Zenon. The attempt is unsuccessful, however, and they wind up snatching his daughter Rozalin instead. After a great deal of arguing Adell agrees to escort Rozalin back to her mansion, not wishing to use her as a hostage against her father.

After learning that Rozalin has never once met Zenon, however, they come to an agreement: they'll help one another locate Zenon, Rozalin to meet him and Adell to defeat him. Rozalin has no doubt her father will kill Adell, but she nevertheless grows more and more fond of him, appreciating his odd sense of fair play. As they travel they gain a number of other companions, and eventually do track down Zenon after participating in a tournament - though Zenon leaves before Adell can properly fight him.

Adell finally does get his chance to face the Overlord after raiding his castle and bypassing his two most powerful generals, though in doing so he discovers that Rozalin is actually Zenon, and the man thought to be Zenon a nameless imposter. Rozalin then kills the imposter after the group beats him in a fight and seems ready to remain Zenon for good; however Adell risks death by approaching and kissing her, his otherwise hidden feelings suddenly brought to light. What happens after to the pair is unknown, though given that Adell and Rozalin are usually seen together in cameo roles it can be inferred that they stay together in the normal story line.

Though it's never outright confirmed, Adell is heavily hinted to pure a pure demon, hence his lack of change from the curse. More, his parents are thought to be Zenon's two generals, as the female general often spares Adell and Rozalin and lets Rozalin go without notifying Zenon. Adell's mother and father note during the game that Adell was left with them by two demonic friends who went to fight Zenon when he invaded Veldime and never returned, thus explaining their presence in his ranks.

Adell is primarily a physical fighter and typically depicted as using his fists. Themed along with his hair color and overall fiery temperament, Adell's special attacks typically include flames and are especially effective against icy enemies.
