Along with the many reason to relish a relationship, there are just as many reasons to savor the single life.
The following is a list of reasons to savor a brief encounter with single living.
*Fear
Fear is one reason why some choose to remain single. Fear of failure, infidelity, and fear of losing yourself are all legitimate reasons to stay away from a potential relationship.
Although, knowing we can't allow fear to rule our life, we still tend to follow those instincts that say "run for your life." When and if we can conquer this fear, we've taken a giant step in understanding ourselves.
*Privacy (lack there of)
Privacy is another benefit of remaining single. Isn't it grand to answer to no one; coming and going as you please without hundreds of questions to answer upon your return home (if you return?) Independence comes in a lot of colorful forms. Independence of individuality, of opinions and our behavior. Single life allows us to live in a peaceful, happy and sometimes, yes, lonely world.
*Dating
Dating is a struggle as much as it is entertaining. Women complain incessantly about the woes of dating, however, if truth be known, we love it. We love the boost it gives our self-esteem when, out of the blue, a tall, dark and sometimes handsome stranger asks us out to dinner. This is also an incentive to stay single; for men and women alike.
*No Worries
We often try to analyze every aspect of a relationship; worrying ourselves unnecessarily, especially when our partner is running late. A business meeting with an
