The best ways to distract yourself from a job you hate

There was once a quote that goes as follows: "If you love your job, you won't have to work a day in your life." The truest words in form, huh? I find it to be true myself and if you find yourself to be sleeping more at your desk than in your bed at 2 in the morning, maybe you have to rethink your job position OR discover ways to entertain yourself whilst at work.

1. If a computer is readily available, enter forums or write articles for Helium so you can keep yourself occupied. Nothing says fun when you're interacting with others when the person in the cubicle next to you has no idea!

2. Bring a book or magazine...but hide it in your drawer when the boss walks by.

3. Keep in mind that you have a job whereas unemployed persons are going through dreadful job interviews and searches.

4. Ask your fellow co-workers if there is anything you can help them with. Believe it or not, when you're doing work other than your own, it's self-rewarding and you're learning something new.

5. When you're severely in the pits, temp agencies are always hiring new associates. They're a guaranteed job which will better suit your finest job qualities and they will find the perfect job for you.

Good luck!
