Let's just admit it, no one enjoys the flying part of any vacation. There are usually minor irritations like an overly strict security personnel, snoring neighbors, and crying children. Not only that, but you must maneuver yourself in a small, cramped space that seems to be designed for small children and not grown adults. What if the flight was not like this? What if the flight was as good as the rest of the vacation?
The first moments of any vacation have an important impact on ho the rest of the vacation goes. If you start out on the right foot, the rest of the trip will be even better.
While flying economy is not the worst experience you will ever have, there is an alternative that will make flying as relaxing as the rest of your vacation: first class flights.
In economy, it is standard to receive some complimentary services like snacks, drinks, entertainment, and meals on longer or international flights. In air customer service is rated as above average and flight attendants do what they can to alleviate any irritations that you may have. However, it is difficult to appreciate the amenities when you are stuck in a small space with aching joints and an aching back.
In first class, many airlines offer a semi-private space that allows for your chair to fully recline to a flat top. Not only can you stretch out your legs all the way, you can actually lie down and sleep. This also becomes a more relaxing experience as the space separates you from the rest of the cabin. The menu choices in first class are comparable to fine dining establishments all over the world and often come with complimentary wine pairings. The customer service in first class is highly attentive, and they work to make sure that there are absolutely no annoyances for any passenger flying in first class. All services, including food, are on demand, and the airline will make sure that the flight is as pleasurable and hassle-free as possible.
There are also additional perks that come with flying first class. First class passengers are usually afforded extra baggage allowances and also access to the member's lounge. Inside the lounge, services are provide to fliers to make even the preflight experience as pleasurable as possible. Amenities such a spa baths, nap rooms, complimentary food and drinks, a library, and free internet access are just a few examples.
The flying experience does not have to be full of hustle and bustle. Spending a little more on your flight may allow you to enjoy your vacation even more. Cheap tickets may save you a couple bucks, but a stress-free flight, coupled with attentive service and superior in-air dining could be the difference between a good vacation and a memorable one.
