Poetry: Saving

by Sarah Stennett

Created on: July 06, 2009

The wind breezes past her,
She shivers and looks around
At the darkness, wondering if
She'll ever escape it.

She looks up at the moonless
Sky and asks for help,
She needs a light to find
Her way back to safety, to sanity.

As if answering her prayers,
The moon comes out of hiding
And a friend calls for her,
Helping her home, to safety, sanity.
