Who is Jesus and what does he mean to us?

The book of John tells us who Jesus is.

KJV John 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Jesus is the second person of the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He came to earth to redeem us from the bondage of Satan.

We all know the story of Adam and Eve. God gave them dominion over the earth. He said they could eat of every tree in the garden but one, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If they ate of it they would die.

Deceived by Satan, Eve ate of it and gave it to Adam to eat. Satan had poisoned it with the wickedness of lust. Satan got dominion of the world.

Adam and Eve did not die physically but they did die spiritually. They were cut off from God. He will not be connected to sin- not theirs or ours. God had led them through their spirit, and now Satan leads through lust of the flesh. We are all born with the nature to sin. The world was so evil God had to end it.

After the flood and when the earth became more populated they did not want God but worshiped Angels, Men, Sun, Moon, so called goddesses etc and finally God found Abram, a man who accepted Him and believed Him.

Abram's name was changed to Abraham, which meant father of nations. Through him God would get His creation back. Through Abraham came the Jews and through the Jews Jesus, and then through the Apostle Paul the gentiles.

You do not have to look far to see how lust operates, just turn on the news and see it in child molestation, greed for money and power, pornography etc. Man was and still is snared by the devil.

Jesus went about preaching one message only. The good news of the gospel of Jesus was that God was building a spiritual kingdom invisible, on the earth that was open to all mankind. Man had been disconnected from God but now by seeking forgiveness, through Jesus, they could be born again in the spirit and be reconnected to God.

Jesus lived as a man on the earth and was tempted by Satan.
