I should have done it sooner, I'm glad that it is through
Looking back, I can't believe I wasted time with you.
You said that you would love me, you said that you would care,
But every time I turned around, you weren't ever there.
The pain that you have caused me, has hurt me to no end,
I thought that I could trust you, but on you I can't depend.
So as I walk away from you, I learn about myself
That I can live my life alone; I don't need your help.
I walk away with a sense of pride that you can't take away
I'm grateful for our breakup- it made me who I am today.

Poetry: Our break up

The winter always seems so long
When compared to a night that separates the days
But when the summer comes along
The memory

Lost
Wet hair snakes, winding like smoke
twists around fingers
with blunt, brittle nails
sheathed in garish, artificial polish.
by Laurel Smith
I truly thought I'd lost you
Tears rushed down from my bloodshot eyes
As I sobbed in horrid fear
That you'd choose a different
Goodbye to love, goodbye to hope,
Goodbye to me and you,
Goodbye to future trials and joys
We won’t go through.
May springtime

Was a bomb
About sex
I am a traditional
Girl
My honor is in
My marriage
Feelings I cannot
Rape
He spoke with
The fashion
