Poetry: We're through

by Kathleen Richardson

Created on: July 05, 2009

Done, and done again

Until I can do it no more

Finally I've realized that pain

Is pushing me out the door.

My misconceptions of love

Based on heartfelt sighs

Pleasures not yet thought of

Already resound with cries.

*

Harden my heart

Get you out of my view

I hate that we'll be apart

But, baby, we're through.
