The start of Helium's empty title bonus of $1 in addition to the regular upfront payments of 0.50 cents to $2.50 per article written has lead members to search out those empty titles. The possibility of increasing earnings even by a dollar is tempting although there seems to be trouble finding those empty titles. The more empty titles that you write to the more you can potentially increase your monthly Helium earnings. So just how do you find empty titles to write to at Helium?

There are several ways to find them and take advantage of the $1 bonus for empty titles provided that you are writing to qualifying channels. The zones are just one. There are Helium zones dedicated to broadcasting titles that don't have any articles written to them. These zones are broken down by specific channel to allow you to see if they qualify for upfront payment at a glance. Clicking on the links in the zones will take you to the actual title so that you can verify that you are the first one posting to the title.

All of Helium's channels have sub-channels in which to write. You can click on the channel, then the specific sub-channel that you wish to write to in order to bring up lists of titles. Clicking on the new titles: writers wanted box will bring up the newest articles, or you can go down to the area at the bottom that lists the empty titles. Again click on the titles or search them on the site to double check for emptiness.

The title finder tool is another asset in finding empty titles. If you have an idea of what you wish you write you simply enter the terms into the one of the search boxes. Next you pick the number of results per page and the channels, along with sub-channels that you wish to search for the titles related to your search. Once the lists are brought up you can sort through the results and find titles that come up empty. Due to catching, you will still need to click on the actual title and verify that it is empty.

The "My Helium" page lists channels and titles that are in need of writers on a daily basis. You can click on these links and search the specific channels this way as well. The writers own articles page is another way to find empty titles. Click on one of your articles to read it. You will find related titles next to the article in a box on the right. Some of these just might be empty. You can click on them to verify that they are empty and write the articles of your choice.

The Contest and Marketplace pages give another opportunity to earn the empty title bonus. When the contests are first posted there are a few dozen empty titles just waiting to be filled, the same with Marketplace for the articles that are not chosen. (Marketplace articles that are chosen will earn the writer even more than the upfront payment.

When you can't find an empty title to write to that suits your interest you can always suggest a title. There are many more ways to find empty titles on Helium, you can even read other people's articles and click on the links to related titles from their articles. What are you waiting for? Go find the empty titles.
